  10. As leaders…. We sell We train We recruit We recognize We reach We respect

  11. Find a role model you want to be like... • Watch what they are doing to succeed • Mirror what they are doing to be successful • Ask for guidance from them • Ask to be “adopted” • Listen to them • Don’t make excuses • We all need an “Uzzie Buddy” outside of our “upline” for a different viewpoint

  12. Competent People • Challenge the process • Inspire a shared vision • Model the way • Enable others to act • Encourage the heart • Think outside the box • Are able to constantly change !

  13. In order to promote out leaders…. You need to teach, model and encourage them to be leaders from the very beginning ! How do you do this ?

  14. "I hear and I forget... I see and I remember... I do and I understand." ~ Confucious 551 BC – 479 BC

  15. What I believe will help people to be successful …. • Early, Active Training • See one, do one, teach one • Lead by example • Block out time for training • Plan your training

  16. Rebroadcast same information… In different styles !! Everyone LEARNS differently… try to make sure you teach using a MUTLI SENSORY approach. • Selling • Recruiting • Training

  17. During their first 12 weeks… • Provide them with 100 % • Have high expectations • Not “if Emerald” … “When Emerald” • Not “if Supervisor” ... “When Supervisor”

  18. This is a BUSINESS treat it as such… • Talk about the business constantly • Talk about the benefits to me • Talk about the benefits to them • Let them share in their successes • Celebrate ALL successes

  19. Immediately share the vision about being a supervisor.

  20. Types of Consultants

  21. Team Building Definition: A small group of people with complementary skills who are committed to share a purpose and a team approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable.

  22. Know your people and their goals • Invest yourself appropriately • Find people to believe in • Empower the people you pick • Help them visualize • Goal Setting

  23. Once they decide to promote… • Take them to a variety of business events • Expose them to all parts of the business they might of not experienced themselves yet • RFTS • Bookfairs • SL appointment • Home Shows • Booths – Craft Fair type & Professional

  24. “Anyone can dabble, but once you’ve made the commitment, your blood, has that particular thing in it and it is very hard for people to stop you.” ~ Bill Cosby

  25. Senior Consultant • No clear cut definitions • Treat them at this point like a supervisor • Set a promotion date

  26. Supervisor-to-be “PLAN” • Go back to basics • Supervisor “Promotion Guide” • Set individual small goals for “big goal” • Share vision – share work – get there together • Meet “small goal” – set new “small goal” • Believe BIG and it will happen • Teach them the more they do .. The more their group will do ! Have them experience all aspects of the business ! • Constant contact ! • Teach them how to track their own recruits • Work with anyone (that asks you) personally in total group who wants to promote – no matter how deep they are ! • Training available to TOTAL TEAM

  27. Action Plan to Promote to Supervisor

  28. Ideas to Share with Future Supervisors

  29. “ A stumbling block to the pessimist is a stepping stone to the optimist.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

  30. When consultants get to “almost promoting” they need the most ! Give them extra support ! • Consultants = work for little money • Promoting to Supervisor = Consultant acting like a supervisor. They are tired. They have invested so much time and personal money. It is so easy for them to give up. Give them the EXTRA time and encouragement they need ! • Supervisor = making more money ! The wider and deeper they get…The more they make .

  31. Trainings offered to“Senior Consultants” • In Touch Training for “supervisors to be” • Teach them in a “Multi Sensory” way • Organizational System – New Consultant Cards to Track • Train them to work in blocks of time • Future Supervisor Trainings (chats, local…) • Supervisor Trainings (chats, local…) • How to do a new consultant training (success clinic) • Separate motivational training emails when appropriate

  32. Acting the Part • If you want to do something – you have to act the part • You have to believe in yourself and your abilities • What you have to offer is worth something

  33. Be Realistic • It is NOT always easy to promote out supervisors • It takes time and effort to really succeed • The effort involved today will really pay off in the future Remember my past……… Comparing my MONTHLY overrides… • November 2001 $ 628.17 • November 2003 $ 4,691.48 • November 2004 ???

  34. Don’t forget ! Stay with promoting out supervisor for a transitional time ! You will need to coach the NEW SUPERVISOR just as much as in the beginning when they decided to promote out. As they gain confidence …. Have them do more and more ! NOTE: Coach them… not their downline … unless they ask you to ! Teach them how to handle their downline as much as you can .

  35. Building a SOLID business is like building a house Executive Supervisors Learn Together Identify and Train Executive Supervisors to be Train New Supervisors Identify and Train New Leaders Bring Consultants to Events Training for all consultants (Success Clinics, Monthly Meetings, Chats, Phone, Email)

  36. The NUMBER ONE thing people need help with to succeed is …… Words !!!

  37. It’s a business… • Be professional • Read “business books”, attend chats, read chat logs, go to ALL trainings • Act like the next level • Find a mentor • Be a mentor • Invest in your own training

  38. Motivation is EVERYTHING ! “You can do the work of two people, But you can’t be two people. Instead, you have to inspire the next guy down the line And get him to inspire his people.” ~ Lee Iacocca
