Today’s lunch includes Meatball Sub or BBQ Rib, and the library is closed during periods 7 & 8 for a Ruriteen meeting featuring speaker Maureen Montgomery from the Suicide Prevention Coalition. Don't forget about the upcoming College Fair for juniors and seniors on October 14th, and mark your calendars for the Boys’ Golf Expo on October 18th. Also, show your support for Lady Scotties Volleyball team! Check details on vision screenings and picture retakes too.

  4. Ruriteen Meeting • Today, October 12 • In TVHS Library • After school • Speaker is Maureen Montgomery • Chairperson of the Suicide Prevention Coalition • Upcoming projects to discuss • A meal will be served and business discussed • Hope to see you there

College Fair • For Juniors and Seniors • October 14th @ Zane State • Over 60 colleges and universities will be represented • Students will leave TVHS @ 9:30 and return @ 11:30 • Please sign and return a permission slip available in the guidance office by Oct. 12th • Space is limited so return your slip early

  6. Volleyball • Lady Scotties won over West M in 3 sets • Tied for 1st place in MVL with West M • 14-1 in MVL • Play John Glenn tomorrow • Reserves won in 2 sets • 20-1 in MVL • Nice job ladies!!!

  7. Vision and Hearing Screenings • All freshmen will be tested • Tomorrow and Friday • Will be called alphabetically • By the PA

  8. Utilities, Gas & Oil Careers Expo • Tuesday, October 18th • At the Welcome Center • 205 N. Fifth Street • Zanesville • 2 – 6 PM • Investigate careers in the energy field

  9. District Boys’ Golf • Scotties shot a 317 but failed to advance to state • Austin Beyers shot a 75 • Was in a playoff round but did not move forward • Kamern Welch-79 • Brandon Spears-81 • Zach Forker-82 • Austin Eveland-84 • Congratulations on a great season!!!!!!

  11. Teacher of the Month • Students, nominate a teacher who makes a difference in school and the community • Go to www.ONNtv.com or www.westfieldinsurance.com for nomination forms • Teacher receives a plaque and will be featured on television

  12. Otterbein University • A representative will be in the guidance office • Thursday, October 13th • During 8th period • Sign the sheet in guidance • Obtain permission of your 8th period teacher
