  2. Miami, Florida • Geography: Miami is in Florida, the warmest state in the Southeast. Florida is hot and very rainy. It is a tropical state. • Fun facts: Miami is a major port. Amajor port is a popular city that that has many ships that carry goods. Miami has a lot of natural resources. Natural resources are things like: water, oil, agriculture, and fruits. • Fun things to do: Go to the beach, go swimming, go fishing, and visit aquariums.

  3. Atlanta, Georgia • Geography: Atlanta’s area is 343.0 km and 1.8 km of it is water. Atlanta has a very subtropical climate. • Fun facts: InAtlanta, in June, it was once 39 degrees F! Atlanta is the capital of Georgia. The Capital is the city where the state government is located. • Fun things to do: Fishing, sledding, and going to aquariums.

  4. Huntsville, Alabama • Geography: Huntsville is located in the Tennessee river valley. The city is surrounded by hills. Huntsville sometimes has tornados in the spring and fall. • Fun facts: Huntsville is nicknamed Rocket city for all of its U.S.A space missions. Huntsville has two active railroads for transportation. • Fun things to do: golfing, going to movie theatres, and sledding.
