  2. Atopic-dermatitis • Is a long-term skin disease that involves itchy and scaly rashes.

  3. How do you get it? • Similar to an allergy, it is due to a hypersensitivity reaction in the skin.

  4. What happens to the skin? • The skin swells and inflaminates.

  5. Does the body try to fix itself? • Yes, the disease usually is outgrown by early adulthood from having it as early as the ages of 2-6 months.

  6. What medicines are needed? • Creams and ointments may be used monthly to stop the itching and will help heal the skin.

  7. Is it curable? • Medicines can be used to help heal the skin faster and the disease can be outgrown by early adulthood.
