Join us to make new friends, develop leadership skills, and contribute to your community through various projects and events. Members hold meetings, plan fundraisers, and celebrate achievements at our annual awards ceremony. Participate in exciting activities like College Campus Visits, formal events, and community service initiatives. Scholarships are available to support your membership. What is YTeens? • YTeens is a leadership and community service club for middle and high school girls. • Club members and their advisor hold meetings, elect club officers, plan fundraisers, and complete community service projects together. • The club runs throughout the school year and ends with a YTeens Award Ceremony in May.

Your YTeens Club… • Will meet weekly. Ask your advisor for the day, time, and place! • Is open to any girls ages 11-17 • Must elect a President, Vice President, and Treasurer for the Inter Club Council. Your club can create more leadership positions such as social chair or community service chair if you’d like to! • Will organize fundraisers for activities and organize community service projects every month.
What are my responsibilities as a YTeen member? • Regularlyattend club meetingsled by the club advisor and electedofficers • Be a role model for other girls at your school and your community • Complete at least 12 hours of communityservicethroughout the schoolyear. Record your hours. • Participate in YTeen and YWCA events • Annual Y-Teen Club Fee- $12 • Scholarships are available! Ask your advisor!
What is the inter-club council? • It’s a great leadership opportunity! • The inter-club council (ICC) is made up of all the leadership students of every YTeen club in Knoxville. So, if you are elected a President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer of your club you would be part of the ICC. • (HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS ONLY) The ICC leaders will come together to collaborate on ideas and organize inter-club events and projects. Your leaders will represent your club at the monthly leadership meeting.
How do I become an ICC leader? • Your advisor will organize your club elections. Ask your advisor for an application! • ICC Positions: • President: Organize and lead your club outreach, membership, and weekly meetings • Vice President: Organize and lead your club outreach, membership and weekly meetings when president is absent • Secretary: Keep club records such as attendance sheets, meeting notes, and monthly service reports, submitting posts to the YTeens blog for your club • Treasurer: Lead the fundraising efforts of your club and keep responsible records of club funds • Tell your club members why you should be a leader for their club. What skills do you have that will make you a good leader for your club? • All elected ICC members for HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS ONLY must be able to attend the monthly leadership meeting at the YWCA KNOXVILLE.
