  1. Read your independent SEM-R novel. If you don't have one, look through the Literature book under your desk.

  2. September 6, 2011 - The School Play - plot Lesson Essential Questions: ·How do the events of a story work together to create a plot? Homework: Complete side 1 (pg. 29) of "The School Play" notes sheet. Warm Up: Take out your summer reading project. Put your first and last name on all sheets.Set up your notebook page. In your Literature book, turn to pg. 34 and complete the "Face Your Fears" chart. Number 1-10 and rank each item, with 1 being the scariest and 10 being the least scary. When finished with your rankings, complete the warm up sheet on plot. Try to do this without using your notes.

  4. Turn in your Literature book to pg. 34 Complete the "Face Your Fears" chart. In your notes, number 1-10 and rank each item, with 1 being the thing that most scares you and 10 being the thing that scares you the least.

  6. Background to the story: The Donner Party Complete the plot review sheet that I gave you. Then read the Donner Party story on pg. 35 and fill in the plot chart at the bottom of the worksheet as it relates to this story.
