Room Setup Ideas: • Lofting both beds creates space underneath for your futon, TV, chairs, fridge, desks, etc. • Have them talk to their new roommate about futons, microwaves, TVs, refrigerators, rugs, lamps, etc. • Most of these items both roommates only need one of! • Talk to roommate BEFORE purchasing a loft, especially if they plan on having an L-shaped set-up. • Remember: only 1 “L-Bracket” per PAIR (2) of roommates and ONLY if using the Modified L for Mad/Lor.   12. Boot Tray Rugs Floors • Mad/Lor, Bergstrom and Sensenbrenner all have tile floors; Burke has vinyl flooring. Welcome Mats

  13. Roommate Information • Email for assignments/newsletter– Mid July. • Verbally talk with roommates (don’t only rely on Facebook, texting). • Facebook page– make sure it’s an accurate reflection of who your children are! Roommate Info

  18. Roommate Concerns • Talk directly with roommates first. • Meet with the Resident Assistant to determine strategies on how to resolve the issues. • Contact the Hall Director. • AVOID Facebook comments or other social media! Roommate Info

  19. Hall Assignments • Approximately 50% of first year student women will be in Sensenbrenner Hall. • Approximately 50% of first year student men will be in Burke Hall. Campus Living

  20. Move-in Information • Majority of students move-in on Thursday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. • Move-in assistance: Kunkel’s Crew • Proceed to Schneider Field. • Bring their Knightline password and SNC ID number! Campus Living

  21. Residence Halls Close–First Semester • Residence halls will close on Saturday, December 13, 2014 for first semester. • Residence halls open during Long Weekend and Thanksgiving break. • Need to notify REH staff! Campus Living

  22. Housing Agreement • Housing Agreement must be signed by all students before moving into a residence hall! • Students will receive an email to the agreement online after assignments are made. • Agreement has all REH policies and procedures. Campus Living
