CSR / Sustainability Hero Personal Background • Born in Bogotá, Colombia (1961) • Anthropologist and Sociologist from the Vermont University U.S. • Master in Public Administration from Harvard University • 1985 - 1992: Held various positions in the public sector in the town Cajicá, Colombia • 1992: CEO of the Family Business “Alquería”- pasteurizing plant located in Cajiá, Colombia • Since his return to Colombia he had interest and commitment on working for the development of the town in matters of education, health, culture and transport • 2000: received the “Ave Fénix” Prize due to his well governance of the company

CSR / Sustainability Hero Cavalier’s Commitment • During the period he worked in the public sector in Cajicá, Colombia he developed various social projects • 100% coverage of water, sewerage and education in the town • Donation of milk for the kids studying in the public schools of the town • Involved with topics like urbanization, budget and generation of credits and scholarships

CSR / Sustainability Hero Cavalier’s Commitment • Socially committed: strong social and human relationship with his employees and the comunity • Every employee gets one daily litter milk to take home or two in case they have children • In the milk industry, the price his company pays to the farmers is the highest in the Continent • Quality products: free of infectious and unhealthy organisms. High quality at affordable prices • Environment and education: avoid consuming more than the production capacity to protect the environment. Sustainable business vision • 95% of the methane gas emissions in his business are produced in the farms due to the digestive system of the cows -> farmers could stop paying for energy service if they use the methane to produce it
