Comprehensive Traffic Study and Analysis for Surfside: Existing and Future Conditions

The Town of Surfside conducted a Town-wide Traffic Study, analyzing various scenarios to evaluate traffic conditions as of April 9, 2013. The results indicate that overall intersection delays remain within acceptable levels, but minor streets experience significant delays and vehicle queuing. Signal timing improvements are recommended to enhance traffic flow, especially at congested locations like 96th Street at Harding Avenue and Collins Avenue. New development may increase congestion, but strategic improvements could mitigate impacts. Residents need to engage in traffic calming discussions.
