Phylogenetic Analysis of Rice and Arabidopsis Carotenoid Biosynthesis Genes

This study presents an unrooted phylogenetic tree illustrating the relationships between rice carotenoid biosynthesis genes and their counterparts in Arabidopsis and other species. Generated using the MEGA software (version 4.0) through the maximum parsimony method, the tree includes bootstrap values from 1000 replicates for support at each node. Distinct clades for monocots and dicots are color-coded to highlight their evolutionary divergence and the genetic foundations of carotenoid biosynthesis across these plant groups.
