This study presents an unrooted phylogenetic tree illustrating the relationships between rice carotenoid biosynthesis genes and their counterparts in Arabidopsis and other species. Generated using the MEGA software (version 4.0) through the maximum parsimony method, the tree includes bootstrap values from 1000 replicates for support at each node. Distinct clades for monocots and dicots are color-coded to highlight their evolutionary divergence and the genetic foundations of carotenoid biosynthesis across these plant groups.

The unrooted tree was generated using MEGA (version 4.0) program by maximum parsimony method. Bootstrap values from 1000 replicates are indicated at each node. Monocot and dicot-specific clades are indicated in different colors.
