  1. OUR MISSION: To guide those far from God into the new start found in Jesus Christ.

  2. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17

  3. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.” The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: “Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.” So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places. This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, “Tell me! Which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?” “None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers, “but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”

  4. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 “Go, find out where he is,” the king ordered, “so I can send men and capture him.” The report came back: “He is in Dothan.” Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

  5. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The choice that is before us What you cannot see is a bigger reality than what you can see vs.15…and his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” vs.17“LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Everything that God give us comes from the invisible realm

  6. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The choice that is before us 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” “above” [Greek] anōthen = “the beginning”

  7. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The choice that is before us Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Which world are we going to live in?

  8. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The choice that is before us The parable of the sower and the soil 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”

  9. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The challenge of the spiritual The things of the Spirit will always conflict with all our natural defence mechanisms “…of the Spirit” Money Money makes itself wings and flies away… (Proverbs 23:5)

  10. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The challenge of the spiritual Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Are we going to live by the seen or the unseen - which world is your ultimate reality? Seeking first the kingdom of God

  11. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The fruit of the spiritual Each one of us are a profoundly spiritual being Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” What qualifies us as sons & daughters of God is living spiritually Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…”

  12. determining your world 2 Kings 6:8-17 The fruit of the spiritual Hosea 6:3 “Let us know; let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.”
