  1. Elektrenai CentreofVocational Training. LITHUANIA. Life is changing rapidly, encouraging to learn and improve constantly. Education is a high power, able to change future of a separate person or a nation. Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Trainingdeveloped an educational system, accesible for everyone and fostering the life long learning.

  2. One of the youngest towns of Lithuania – Elektrenai – is shining halfway between Vilnius and Kaunas.

  3. You will easily find Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training in this green town. The Centre educates qualified professionals for Lithuanian economy.

  4. History of the contemporary Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training started on 1st October 1967.

  5. History. • On 1st October 1967, Vocational Technical School was founded to prepare specialists for Lithuanian Power Plant. • On 3rd September 1990, the school became the Elektrenai School of Energetics. • The School changed it’s essence together with the name. New educational programmes were developed. • Since September 2004, we are called Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training.

  6. The Centre developed original system of evaluation and scheme of educational arrangement. • III stages of vocational education are developed. • Structure of general education is developed with its old traditions, tangible property and team of teachers. • Subjects of general education are taught according to the needs of specific vocational education. • There is adequate experience of cooperation with social partners.

  7. School provides with the basic and secondary education. There are premises to teach all subjects, computer laboratory established.

  8. Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training educates the following specialists: • businessmen • electromechanics • tuners • computer operators • secretary ship • cabinetmakers • builders • construction managers • cooks and barmen • decoraters

  9. The Centre joins solid team of pedagogues of general education and vocational training.

  10. Vocational education takes place in teaching rooms, workshops, laboratories.

  11. Representatives of the Centre participate actively in local and national events, expositions and competitions.

  12. Since 1994, the Centre organises fairs to sell articles developed by pupils during practical education

  13. Teachers and students of Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training participate actively in international seminars, conferences, take part in international projects.
