  3. Guard Dance • Today's “guard dance” originates from the troops of the Girl Revue Theatres of the 1920s and 1930s

  4. Schuhplattler • “Schuhplattler” isthenameof a Bavariandance • Itisoriginatedbyvillagepeopleandnamed “Schuhplattler“

  5. The dance is named after “platteln” which means “beating“

  6. We should also mention that the dances in style clothing and sequence are regionally different

  8. Jodler • Probably the most famous kind of song is the “Jodler“ (engl. yodeling) • It is a form of singing that involves singing an extended note which rapidly and repeatedly changes in pitch
