March 31- April 4 Mrs. Kilpatrick’s Classroom News • I hope everyone had a safe and happy spring break! • Looking ahead: We have DIBELS testing at the end of this month, so please be reading with your child nightly. I will be sending some practice passages home soon, but in the meantime, the weekly stories or AR books are great choices! Reading: Our reading story for the week is Horace and Morris but Mostly Delores. We will be learning about character/setting, ph,gh,ck,andng words, and different kinds of pronouns. Math: In math we are working on telling time and reading/using graphs. Science & Social Studies: In science we are learning about magnets. • April 3-8: Book Fair • April 18th – We will have school (make-up weather day) • April 28th – DIBELS testing begins • Tests: • Thursday- Reading and Grammar Tests • Friday- Spelling Test
