DESCRIPTION OF TOOL To implement environmental management strategies in governments, companies and organizationswe would need sustainability tools and methods to support us clarifying, analyzing, and digesting tremendous inventory data as well as to communicate the results to decision makers and interested parties in a comprehensive way. The selection of tools are highly important as to pinpoint the right and accurate decision making. There are quite many tools for different processes, strategies, and methodologies.

  5. TYPES OF TOOL the focus on environmental management tools. The main purposes of such tools are to measure, monitor, control and communicate the environmental performance of a company or an organization. ISO 14001, LCM Management Tool Environmental assessment is a systematic process designed to identify, analyze and evaluate the environmental effects of a product or an activity. The aim of the process is to identify any foreseeable adverse impacts throughout the life cycle of a product. Environmental Assessment allows effective integration of environmental considerations and public concerns into decision-making. Umberto, Sima Pro, Jemai LCA, LIME Assessment Tool As a tool to declare and/or inform customers and decision makers, and interested parties with understandable and accurate information. Tools such as Environmental Product Declarations, Sustainability Performance Indicators and Safety Data Sheets, Environmental labeling, Eco-Efficiency, Factor X Communication Tool

PROBLEMS IN THAILAND • Lacking of an earnest to implement LCA • Conflict of economy growth and environmental response • Unclear who is the main center to collect the inventory data and consult on LCA software • Lacking of co-operation among different sectors • Enclosure of information on company’s inventory data • Lacking of knowledge and specialists on LCA software • No funding on software supply • No suitable software for Thailand

SOLUTION by PRIVATE SECTOR • Collect and disclosure the foreground data • Encourage the supplier to disclosure the inventory data • With Thai LCA group and educational institution, we could exchange knowledge, discuss and organize a workshop tuition training of LCA software • Cluster with the related industrial to initially start collecting inventory data and implement LCA study using software
