  1. Welcome to MYP Gr. 9 Science and Gr. 11 IB Environmental Systems and Societies With Ms. Rumble arumble@amersol.edu.pe

  2. Ms. Allana Rumble Who Am I?

  3. Where am I from? • I am Canadian; • My Canadian background gives me an appreciation for open spaces, the outdoors and generally all things wild. I have a respect for differences and in fact…enjoy them. Nice day eh?

  4. What do I do? • I am an International Science Teacher. • Why do I do it? • I love teaching Science because I am curious and want to understand more about the world around me. • My motto is “Let’s Experiment”.

  5. Educational Background • Bachelor of Science Degree (Honors) in Environmental Science (Biology Minor) from the University of Waterloo • University of Waterloo is repeatedly voted Canada’s top university by the national magazine - McLean’s. • This top spot has been attributed to UW’s cooperative education program (you learn best through doing) and innovation. • UW graduates invented the Blackberry University of Waterloo Rated in the top three Canadian Universities for the last 10 years.

  6. Educational Background con’t. • Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto (Honors). • Graduated in top 10% of class. Environmental Science, General Science and Chemistry areas of specialization for teaching. (Grades 4-12) Additional Qualification courses in Mathematics

  7. Educational Background con’t. Masters of Education Degree from Charles Sturt University in Australia • Information Technology Specialization • Focus of research on the use of interactive technology use on the impact of learning in Science classrooms with ESL learners.

  8. I have been living and teaching abroad for 8 years. I have lived in London, UKIstanbul, TURKEY and now in Lima, PERU. Merhaba/Hello! Hola/Hi! In many ways I am a student. I love teaching students of different cultures because they teach me while I teach them.
