  2. Who’s Who • Vanderbilt Student Technology Committee Representatives • Lauren Holroyd • Julian Genkins • Office of Education, Informatics and Technology • Dean Anderson Spickard and EDT team • Vanderbilt Epic Training Team Representatives

  3. What does training entail? • Training will be lead by peer trainers (more information to come) • Components: • E-learning module: completion will allow read access to the medical record • 4 hr in-person session for Inpatient • 4 hr in-person session for Outpatient

  4. Timeline • Early October 2017 • E-learning released to medical students • October 2017-November 2, 2017 • Pre-Live training (4hr in-person session for Inpatient, 4 hr in-person session for Outpatient) • November 2, 2017 • Go-Live! • November 3, 2017- January 2018 • Post-Live training (4hr in-person session for Inpatient, 4 hr in-person session for Outpatient)

  5. Pre-Live • Everyone who completes E-learning will have ability to view Epic medical record • Due to logistical space constraints only small number of students will be able to train prior to Go-Live • Priority given to Immersion phase students on November and December rotations and Shade Tree Elective students and Directors/Subdirectors

  6. Post-Live • All other students will be trained in November 2017-January 2018 • Clerkship Directors and Immersion Phase Course Directors aware, will work with you • Consideration for priority scheduling given to students who have documentation heavy rotations

  7. Peer Trainers • Opportunity for you to become a peer trainer! • Looking for 8-10 individuals to be trained on Epic in September 2017 then train fellow students October 2017-January 2018 • Eligible for course credit • If pursuing course credit, 100 hr time commitment • Less time required if no course credit (~80hrs) • Interested?
