  2. ΕΛΛΑΔΑ-GREECE • Η Ελλάδα συνορεύει με την Αλβανία, την Βουλγαρία, την Πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβική Δημοκρατία της Μακεδονίας [Π.Γ.Δ.Μ] και την Τουρκία. Η έκτασή της είναι 131.957τ.μ. και το νόμισμά της το ευρώ€. Η πρωτεύουσα της Ελλάδας είναι η Αθήνα. • Greece shares borders with Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM and Turkey. Its area is 131,957 m² and its currency is the euro €.Athens is its capital.

  3. ΠΑΡΘΕΝΩΝΑΣ-THE PARTHENON • O Παρθενώνας χτίστηκε τον 5ο αιώνα π.Χ. από τους αρχιτέκτονες Ικτίνο και Καλλικράτη. • Ήταν αφιερωμένος στη θεά Αθηνά • The Parthenon was built in the 5th century B.C. by the architects Iktinos and Kallikratis. • It was dedicated to the goddess Athena.

  4. ΑΡΧΑΙΑ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑANCIENT OLYMPIA • Από εκεί ξεκίνησαν οι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες το 776 π.Χ. Τελούντανανά 4 χρόνια προς τιμή του Δία. • This is where the Olympic games started in 776 B.C. They were held every 4 years in honour of the god Zeus.

  5. ΜΥΚΗΝΕΣ-MYCENAE • Η παράδοση αναφέρει ότι τις Μυκήνες ίδρυσε ο Περσέας.Σήμερα στη θέση αυτή υπάρχει ένα χωριό που λέγεται Μυκήνες . Από τα σωζόμενα ερείπια σπουδαιότερα είναι οι δύο βασιλικοί ταφικοί περίβολοι Α και Β. • According to tradition Mycenae was founded by Perseus. Today, there is a small village called Mycenae in the same place. The most important of the existing ruins are the two Royal Tombs A and B.

  6. ΔΕΛΦΟΙ-DELPHI • Οι Δελφοί ήταν αρχαία ελληνική πόλη στην οποία λειτουργούσε το σημαντικότερο μαντείο του αρχαίου ελληνικού κόσμου. • Delphi was a Greek city where the most important oracle of the ancient Greek world operated.

  7. ΝΑΥΠΛΙΟ-NAFPLIO • Το Ναύπλιο είναι η πρωτεύουσα του Ν. Αργολίδας και υπήρξε πρωτεύουσα της Ελλάδας από το 1828 ως το 1833.Είναι μία από τις γραφικότερες πόλεις της χώρας. Επίσης είναι γνωστή για το Μπούρτζι , μια παλιά φυλακή ,και το ενετικό κάστρο Παλαμίδι. • Nafplio is now the capital of the prefecture of Argolida but it was the capital of Greece from 1828 to 1833. It is one of the most picturesque cities of the country, known for the ‘Bourtzi’, an old prison ,and the Venetian castle called ‘Palamidi’.

ΣΑΝΤΟΡΙΝΗ-ΚΑΣΤΕΛΟΡΙΖΟSANTORINI-KASTELORIZOΣΑΝΤΟΡΙΝΗ-ΚΑΣΤΕΛΟΡΙΖΟSANTORINI-KASTELORIZO • Η Σαντορίνη ή Θήρα βρίσκεται στις Κυκλάδες του Αιγαίου.Είναι ένα απ’τα πιο τουριστικά μέρη του κόσμου.Η έκτασή της είναι 79,19 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα.Έχει ακόμη και ένα ενεργό ηφαίστειο. • Ανατολικά της Ρόδου βρίσκεται η νήσος Καστελόριζο ή Μεγίστη, το ανατολικότερο άκρο της Ελλάδας .Η έκταση του είναι 9,1 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα. Santorini or Thira is one of the islands of the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most popular destinations for tourists from all over the world. It covers an area of 79.19 m². Santorini also has an active volcano. Kastellorizo or Megisti lies in the east of the island of Rhodes. It is the eastern end of the country. The island covers an area of only 9.1 m².

  9. ΜΕΤΕΩΡΑ-METEORA • Τα Μετέωρα είναι ένα σύμπλεγμα από τεράστιους σκοτεινόχρωμους βράχους που έχουν στην κορυφή τους διάφορα μοναστήρια. Από τα τριάντα μοναστήρια σήμερα λειτουργούν μόνο έξι. • Meteora is a complex of huge dark rocks on top of which there are 30 monasteries built. Only 6 of them are still in operation today.

  10. ΔΡΑΚΟΛΙΜΝΗ-ΔΕΛΤΑ ΕΒΡΟΥDRAKOLIMNI-DELTA OF EVROS RIVER • Το Δέλτα του Έβρου σχηματίζεται στις εκβολές του ποταμού Έβρου και συγκαταλέγεται στους σημαντικότερους βιοτόπους τις Ευρώπης. Εκεί βρίσκει καταφύγιο ένας μεγάλος αριθμός ειδών φυτών και ζώων. • Δρακόλιμνη είναι οι αλπικές λίμνες που σχηματίζονται κυρίως σε βουνά. • The delta of the river Evros is formed at the mouth of the river in the northeast of the country and is considered one of the most important natural preserves of Europe. A big number of various species of animals and plants are found there. • Drakolimni (dragon lake) is the name given to ‘alpic’ lakes formed mostly on high mountains all over Greece.
