Overview of the Facility Registry System (FRS) - EPA's Comprehensive Data Integration Tool

The Facility Registry System (FRS) is a crucial data aggregator used by the EPA, integrating and validating data from 32 federal and 57 state, territory, and tribal databases. It currently stores information on over 2.6 million facilities, with more than 80% having latitude and longitude information. The FRS encompasses major environmental programs across air, water, chemical releases, hazardous waste, and enforcement compliance. This system supports comprehensive environmental management and reporting, making it an essential tool for regulatory agencies and public access.
