  3. The Ombudsman ……. An ombudsman is usually appointed by the government or by parliament but with a significant degree of independence

An office provided for by the constitution or by an action of the legislature or parliament and headed by an independent, high-level public official who is responsible to the legislature or parliament, who receives complaints from aggrieved persons, officials, and employees or who acts on his own motion, and has the power to investigate, recommend remedial action, and issue reports

KPK Ombudsman Jurisdiction Provincial Ombudsman may undertake investigation into any allegation of mal-administration against any agency of the Provincial Government or any of its officer or employee either on a written complaint of an aggrieved person or on a reference by the Governor or the Provincial Assembly or on a motion of the Supreme Court or the High Court or of his own motion

  27. Federal Insurance Ombudsman Jurisdiction/ Functions The insurance ombudsman may on a complaint by an aggrieved person undertake any investigation in to any allegation of mal-administration on the part of any insurance company

  28. Federal Tax Ombudsman Aim Its aim to redress taxpayers’ grievances as fairly and as quickly possible, after examining all facts. If it determine that the Revenue Division has acted wrongly, Ombudsman will recommend the Revenue Division to put things right. This can include recommending that the agency will provide

  29. Federal Ombudsperson for Protection of Women Presentation of complaints: Any person (man/woman) can submit complaints to Federal Ombudsman. A complaint written in English or Urdu may be presented at the Registrar Office of Federal Ombudsman Secretariat. A complaint can be submitted personally or through his/her representative or may be sent by post, courier service, fax, e-mail or any other means of communications
