  6. Worms • Worms can cause gut disease in dogs • Worms can make cysts in kids eyes • Young worms (larvae) can leave itchy trails • in kids’ skin

  7. Itchy skin • Transient mange from dogs can make people itchy • Itchy skin can lead to skin sores and streptococcal diseases like rheumatic fever

  9. Bites • Dog bites happen every week in many communities. • Some are very serious • Bites often get infected too • And the fear lasts even after the bite has healed.
