Definitions • Final Approver - Dean/Director is set up as the Final Approver for the recruitment activities in the range of Departments/Org codes under his/her control to: • Set up the Hiring Managers, • Approve postings from Hiring Managers, • Approve final candidate to be appointed, and, • May also set themselves up as Hiring Manager, Reviewers and/or Interviewer. • Hiring Managers - Manage the hiring process in the College/Department where they are set up as Hiring Manager and will be able to: • Set up recruitment teams; including Reviewers and Interviewers, • Post positions, • Review applicants, • Shortlist and interview candidates, • Recommend appointees to these posted positions, and, • May also set themselves up as Reviewers and/or Interviewers. • Reviewers – Review applicants and submit recommendations for shortlisting to the Hiring Manager for the positions/postings they are set up for as Reviewers. • Interviewers – Will interview and recommend to the Hiring Manager candidates to be appointed for positions/postings they are set up for as Interviewers. Log on to E-Recruitment ServicesLog on to the SELF SERVICE BANNER (E-SERVICES) environment using Banner ID & Password Click “E-Recruitment” tab As Reviewer /Interviewer you will have the following options available: Review and Recommend Applicants (reviewers) Submit Recommended Applicants List to Hiring Manager (reviewers) My Reviewed/Submitted Applicant Lists (reviewers) Submit Candidate (after interview) for approval (interviewers) My Selected Candidate (after interview) List (interviewers) Posting Status (interviewers) UAEU HR – November 2012

  5. Review and Recommend Applicants (1) From the list of Postings select the posting for which you will be Reviewing Applicants UAEU HR – November 2012

  6. Review and Recommend Applicants (2) Review all the applicants that applied for the position. You will be able to review for each applicant their: Application CV and other documents as submitted. In the Application you will also be able to review: Posting question answers Additional information submitted by the candidate You have the option to search for CV’s based on certain criteria: Gender Nationality Rank (Faculty positions only) Language Experience (years) Qualifications (academic) Nominate candidates you would like to recommend for interview and save. Once you have reviewed all candidates, please go to the submission screen to confirm and submit your nominated candidates to the Hiring Manager. Note, final selection can only be submitted after the posting closes. UAEU HR – November 2012

  7. Submit Recommended Applicants List To Hiring Manager (1) From the list of Postings, select the posting for which you want to recommend candidates for interview. UAEU HR – November 2012

Submit Recommended Applicants List To Hiring Manager (2) The screen displays all the candidates you nominated when you reviewed their documents and applications You will be able to review again for each of your nominated applicants. You will now have to rank them in order of preference and also enter a reason why Once you have reviewed all candidates you will submit the list to the Hiring Manager. Note, however, that the final list can only be submitted after the posting closes. The Hiring Manager will now review all feedback received and shortlist a group of candidates for Interview. Once the Hiring Manager creates the shortlist, those members set up as “Interviewers” will receive an email. UAEU HR – November 2012

  9. My Reviewed/Submitted Applicant Lists Your list of recommended candidates will be displayed as well as your comments and ranking for each Click on “My Reviewed/Selected Applicant Lists” From the list of Postings select the relevant posting UAEU HR – November 2012

  10. Recommendation After Interview (1) The Hiring Manager shortlisted the candidates and each Interviewer received an email advising them that the list was finalized. The Interviewer needs to coordinate interview dates and times with the Hiring Manager. After the interviews, each participant will submit their recommendations based on the outcome of the interviews. To submit recommendations, select the relevant posting from the list of Postings. UAEU HR – November 2012

Recommendation After Interview (2) Each Interviewer will provide feedback and recommendations after the interviews You will have to: Recommend candidates for appointment Rank your preferred candidates in order of preference Add comments Submit your recommendation to the Hiring Manager The Hiring Manager will add his/her comments and forward to the “Final Approver” for a decision on appointment UAEU HR – November 2012
