  2. Do something to enhance your CV • Current figures show that for first level jobs, an average of 140 people apply! • You need to impress employers and/or universities by having something additional on your CV to make you stand out

  3. What is the “Inspiring Enterprise” Challenge? • It’s a bit like the BBC’s Apprentice TV programme • 2 week summer programme on entrepreneurship/business • It’s fun and educational and FREE • We visit local businesses who set group challenges • You’ll make friends with pupils from other schools • You’ll be mentored by business people • Only 16 pupils can take part • One winner! Great prize - £400! • Final awards dinner and prizegiving

Could this be for you? • Do you like the idea of being your own boss? • Are you interested in business? • Are you prepared to give up 2 weeks of your summer holidays? • Are you motivated to do something exciting and different? All previous candidates have loved the experience… Please apply, you won’t be disappointed!

  5. Details and Timings • Monday 22 July – Thursday 1 August 2019 • Meeting point is Council HQ, Almada Street, Hamilton but some challenges will be in business premises • Candidates must make their own way to Hamilton each day for 9.30am start • Finish at approx 3.30pm each day

  6. The recruitment process • There are only 16 places so competition will be tough • Your application form has to be submitted by Friday, 26 April • Applicants will be selected & interviewed in June • Successful candidates will attend an introduction event in June to meet their peers and leaders • Parents will require to complete a consent form

  7. The Challenges • Some will include outdoor activities such as kayaking! • Some will be creative • All will be business focused • All will be TEAM based • All will build skills and focus on entrepreneurship • All will be fun and exciting!

  8. The Prize • Candidates will have a good experience and have great examples to include in their CV and to talk about at interviews in the future • The overall winning candidate will win a fabulous individual prize – £400 of Amazon vouchers!

  9. Media Assistant Role • Will film the process and create a DVD • Be credited on the DVD • Great example of work to use for entry to college or university • Only 2 positions! • Please apply for this role if you have an interest in film making/photography or media

  10. How to apply • Collect your application form today before you leave and submit by closing date, 26 April either by email or post • You will be contacted at the end of May if we’d like to interview you in June • So submit your application now and then forget about it and concentrate on your exams - you won’t hear from us until your exams are over!
