  1. 2 Thessalonians 2: 13-17

  2. The Gospel is Calling • All are chosen • The Bible says of Jesus, “He was the lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.” • Why was God thinking of sacrificing Himself so early on? • God has chosen all for salvation, but not all have chosen Him.

  3. The Gospel is Calling • All can be set apart • Karma deals with Hinduism and Buddhism, etc. • It has nothing to do with Christianity and is not found anywhere in scripture. • It’s nothing more than saying that someone has a "bad" or "good" attitude. People don’t need Karma • - they need the Spirit of the living God within • them!

  4. The Gospel is Calling • All are being called • The voice calls all • All will give an account

  5. The Gospel is Resolved • Be careful to remain firm •  The admonition to stand firm and hold shows a propensity to slipping and letting go. • The Bible is true when it says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap.” • If we refuse to love the truth of the Gospel it does not change the Gospel, it only sets the stage for us to be deceived by some other false doctrine.

  6. The Gospel is Resolved • Be careful not to slip • One of the major struggles tearing the social fabric of • our country apart is rampant lethargy concerning the • teachings of the Bible. • “We are to stand fast and cling to the Word of God. • We are not to buckle under to the world and its • enticements. We are not to cave in, as the followers • of the antichrist will do. We are to stand fast and cling • to the Word of God no matter the opposition, • hardships or persecutions.” Steve Shepherd

  7. The Gospel is Confirmed • It’s Personal • It’s Pivotal • It’s Powerful • “May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself…who loved us …by His grace…encourage…strengthen…you”

  8. 1. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me: See on the portals He’s waiting and watching. Watching for you and for me.” • If we refuse to love the truth of the Gospel it does not change the Gospel, it only sets the stage for us to be deceived by some other false doctrine spread by an antichrist. Hear me plain and simple church, I will give you the words of Paul, “Stand firm and hold to the teachings…passed onto you, whether by mouth or by letter.” • One of the strangest things I heard from a preacher I know is that he did not believe in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father…” This thing is personal! • .
