Social-Ecological Research at UW’s School for Environment and Natural Resources • Primarily Applied/Policy Research, but work with both natural and social scientists on Wyoming/Rockies related research • Water/Climate/Drought: Assessing the Future of Wyoming’s Water Resources, with office of state climatologist; report plus film in production • Commercial Wind Development in Wyoming: bringing together economists with local landowners and legislators • Wyoming Open Spaces Initiative: LU/CC, ecology, community services and planning processes

Social-Ecological Research in Business and Health Sciences at UW • Jackson Hole Energy Sustainability Project: Joint effort between UW College of Business and School of Energy Resources, combining home energy audits with economic analysis and grid-scaled energy management strategies • Organic Farming: Considering ecological, marketing, and economic factors in organic cash crop production in Wyoming • Sustainable Community Food Systems for Food Security: Community and University partnership
