Founded in 1953 by Wen-Lung Hsu in Tainan City, CHIMEI Industrial was one of Taiwan's first plastic processing plants. In 1960, it became the country's first acrylic sheet manufacturer. Over the past four decades, CHIMEI has grown into a global leader in ABS and PMMA production while diversifying into various fields, including food, healthcare, and technology. Today, CHIMEI Group encompasses multiple subsidiaries and has made significant contributions through both profit-driven ventures and non-profit initiatives, including the CHIMEI Museum and medical center.
