  2. Introduction What should I talk about? • How you came to believe what you believe • Upbringing, literature you have read, religion, etc • How your understanding of the world has changed over time (remember, philosophical journey) • Eventually narrow down to your thesis statement

  3. Thesis Statement • 3 Green Words • Be clear and specific • Answer the prompt: After looking at a variety of different philosophers and my own philosophy, what do I believe? • Remember that this is ultimately a compare/contrast essay

  4. Conclusion What should I talk about? • Always go forward in a conclusion • How you think exploring other beliefs has impacted you • How you see your philosophy impact the way you live your life in the future

  5. For Tuesday 05/06 You Need typed complete rough draft with: 1. Introduction 2. Prompts 1-3 3. Conclusion (prompt 4, plus questions from slide four) 4. Works Cited

  6. Peer Edit • Go through yellow handout with slides on partner’s rough draft. When all steps complete, return rough draft. • With your rough draft, go through the class copy of the attached rubric. • On the back of your rough draft, self score and explain why you “deserve” that score with current draft. What do you need to improve on most for your final draft?
