  3. Introduccion: • Definiciones: • Accidente: Un evento no planeado inevitable resultando en lecion o danos de propiedad. Chocar- Un evento que es usual mente evitable por uno o mas conductores. Eso es, uno o mas conductores FAYARON al aplicar cada esfuerso para que no susediera.

Progressive’s Accident Reporting Procedure • If an accident occurs: • STOP IMMEDIATELY, park off the roadway if possible, and set out warning signals to prevent further accidents. • Care for injured persons. Do not move a person if seriously injured unless there is danger of fire or further injury. • Call police and first aid • Notify your manager. • Give your name, address, driver’s license number, office phone number (818) 709-0988, and insurance carrier information (see bottom of this page) to all parties involved. • Obtain the name address, phone number, license number and insurance information of any other parties involved. • Obtain the name, address of any injured persons and their type of injury or complaint of pain. • Obtain the name and address of any witnesses. • Take pictures • Complete the on site accident report (on the back side of this page) at the scene. • In addition, remember the following: • Be polite, do not argue. • NEVER admit fault at the scene of an accident. • Make no statements except to a police officer, company official or to Progressive’s insurance company representative.   5. GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL DRIVERS Employees shall obey all Federal, State and local laws while operating either Company owned or privately owned vehicles on official Company business. It is the responsibility of the employee operating either an Company owned or privately owned vehicle to ensure that all persons in the vehicle use seat belts and have them properly adjusted before starting the engine of the vehicle. When cargo, materials or tools are being transported, the vehicle operator is responsible for assuring that all items are properly secured. No person shall be allowed to ride on running boards, fenders, hoods, tailgates, beds or other locations on a vehicle not designed or approved by the vehicle manufacturer for passenger seating. An exception to this shall be vehicles designed and equipped for passengers outside the cab area. Any injuries sustained by the vehicle operator or other employees while operating a vehicle on Company business shall be covered by workers’ compensation. When the vehicle operator is determined to be involved in a preventable incident, the Safety Department shall recommend disciplinary action subject to review and approval by the Department Director. Alcoholic beverages and drugs shall not be transported or placed in any Company owned or privately owned vehicle. Any employee who operates a Company owned vehicle, regardless of frequency, is responsible for the proper care and operation of that vehicle. Before operating the vehicle and at least once a day, the employee shall check to make certain that all vehicle safety equipment including headlights, turn signals, brake lights and windshield washers are functioning properly. Any vehicle damage beyond normal wear and tear or that includes defects affecting the safe operation of the vehicle must be documented and reported to the employee’s supervisor and the Fleet Manager. No employee shall operate a Company owned vehicle found to be in an unsafe condition. EMPLOYEE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF VEHICLE USAGE POLICY This is to acknowledge that I have received a copy of the Vehicle Usage Policy and will comply with all policies contained herein or notify my manager with circumstances that may prevent me from complying. I realize that not all aspects of this policy relate to my job description but will abide by all aspects that do apply to my job. I understand that this Policy represents only current policies, procedures, rights and obligations and does not create a contract of employment or amend the at-will relationship with Progressive Insulation & Windows. Regardless of what the Policy states or provides, the Company retains the right to add, change or delete provisions of the Policy and all other working terms and conditions without obtaining another person’s consent or agreement.
