Celebrating World Spirometry Day: A Global Impact with EasyOne Spirometer

World Spirometry Day on October 14, 2010, highlighted global lung health efforts, with a strong presence in Australia and Kenya. The ndd EasyOne spirometer, endorsed by ERS, played a pivotal role, enabling nearly 4,000 Australians to test their lung function. In India, Seven Hills Hospital offered free tests to local traffic police. The excitement around World COPD Day in the USA emphasized awareness and participation, with various events taking place nationwide.   7. Australia World Spirometry Day was a big success in Australia with almost 4,000 people tested. The majority of sites used the EasyOne spirometer and with the support of ndd we were able to donate 4,000 Spirettes to the organisers.

USA World COPD Day caught on fire this year,  there were thousands of screenings done throughout the United States.     Special sections dedicated to COPD ran in many newspapers while you only had to turn on the television during any news hour to hear about World COPD Day.   Many organizations including AARC encouraged their members to get out there and create their own event.  They responded in a big way!  Here are some pictures from a few of these events.
