Lots to look forward to: • Around 600 on site. • Lots of new activities. • A new campsite. • A great opportunity for us to come together and have fun. • The priority for us all is for every child to have an amazing weekend. • All documents from today available on District Website LIFECHANGINGADVENTURE

  4. Sub Camp Arrangements: • Not central catering (although some groups may work together) • There will be time at the end of this meeting for sub-camps to get together. • Aim is to group young people together to deliver a programme and help with organisation. • To encourage linking and friendship between different groups. • 3 Sub Camps of Approximately 200 (including leaders) • Named after the homes of three superheroes • Friendly competition.   7. Logistics: • Set up on Thursday night. From 6-10pm. • Car parking is available if anyone is planning on leaving their car up there. • Toilets/ Showers • A tuck shop (recommend children bring no more than £5) • Plenty of space • Most activities are outdoors- children will need strong shoes and waterproofs! • Bibby’s Farm are providing a service crew to support us throughout the weekend with car-parking etc. • Directions available on the Bibby’s Farm Website. • The main building will have teas/coffees available for all adults throughout the weekend and will be manned.   8. Health and Safety/Admin: • Groups are responsible for their own first aid. • Groups should have a medical form (on the website) for all children and adults. Groups are responsible for these. • Groups will need to complete the group information sheet (on the website) and return with the balance owed for the camp by the 11th September. • Groups should complete their own Nights Away Notification Form as normal. • If you do not have a permit holder attending, speak to another group on your subcamp. • If you’d like to be assessed for your permit during the weekend- please complete the Night Away Application Form (on the website) and return to Alan Hague ASAP.   9. Coaches: • On the group information form (on the website) we will confirm the number of coach places you need on the Friday (Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders) and on Saturday (Beavers/Leaders) • We will also ask you to confirm who is coming back on the coach on the Sunday. • This is a big logistical operation- your support is vital! • 4 Pick-up locations: • 1) Morecambe Town Hall • 2) Moorside School • 3) St Leonard’s Gate, Lancaster. • 4) New Holly Inn, Forton • These are the same locations for Friday night and Saturday, and return on Sunday. Friday: Depart 6.30pm Sunday Return 4.30pm 2) Moorside School 5th Lancaster, 16th Lancaster, 53rd Lancaster, The Saints Friday: Depart 6.30pm Sunday Return: 4pm 3) St Leonard’s Gate, Lancaster. Halton, 13th Lancaster, 33rd Lancaster, 34th Lancaster, 35th Lancaster Friday: Depart 6.40pm Sunday Return: 4pm 4) New Holly Inn, Forton Forton Friday: Depart 6.45pm Sunday Return: 3.30pm All coaches depart 8am on Saturday.   11. Programme (Friday): Sub- camps are asked to prepare their own welcome activity. Consider Getting to know you games like- Human Bingo. LIFECHANGINGADVENTURE

  12. Programme (Saturday): Sub- Camps are asked to organise some wake up activities, and do a site tour to show children where everything is in the morning LIFECHANGINGADVENTURE

  13. Programme (Sunday): Sub- Camps are asked to organise a wake-up activity. As usual, groups are asked to deliver two bases on Sunday. We have a list of themes that we’d like you to sign up to tonight. LIFECHANGINGADVENTURE

  15. Reminders for Young People: • Strong shoes/boots recommended all weekend. Especially for 13+Scouts and Explorers going off site. • Option for Explorers/Young Leaders to go sailing at the Anderton Centre • No more than £5 spends. • We will allocate sub-camp shop visiting times. • They need a health form/shooting permission form. • Cubs/Scouts/Explorers need a t-shirt for the uv party that they don’t mind getting uv paint on. They are welcome to bring glow sticks- uv coloured stuff too. • Beavers are welcome to wear fancy dress. • Max of 1 talent per group for the talent show. • Group kneckers to be worn at all times (helps us keep an eye on them ;-) LIFECHANGINGADVENTURE

  16. Sub Camp Time • See if anyone needs help/pairing up with catering. • Does anyone need help with a permit holder. • Agree who is sorting sub-camp getting to know you activity plus morning wake up activities. • Sign up to the group base list. 2 bases based on that theme, per group!
