  4. L´EDAT DELS METALLS Aquest periode comença al 3.500 a.C. fins l’any 5.000 a.C. Cap a final de la Prehistòria l’èsser humà va començar a utilitzar material nou per fabricar objectes: el metall. Els materials que feien servir eren: el coure després el bronze i més endavant el ferro que era el més abundant a la natura i el més resistent. Fabricaven eines (falçs, aixades...), armes (espases, llances...) i ornaments (fíbules, agulles...). Les utilitzaven generalment caçar i fer armes.

  5. Fonien els metalls a uns recipients , després els ficaven a uns motllos per donar-li la forma que volien. Els invents més importants van ser: la roda, que va fer possible la construcció dels carros tirats per animals i la vela, que va facilitar el transport de mercaderies. L’augment de la producció agrària i el sorgiment de l’artesania. L’intercanvi de productes, és a dir, el comerç.
