Camouflage Something to keep in mind: There are important differences between “camouflage”, “cover”, and “concealment”. “Cover” means a physical barrier! “Concealment” means an interrupted sight-line.
Camouflage Some things are not really camouflage! Camo means that the object is “hidden” because it how it looks. Being Obvious, but looking like it belongs, is camouflage!
Camouflage • Camouflage is making something blend in, so even if you see it, you don’t recognize it. • Camo allows an object to be “hidden in plain sight”. • It means that your eyes take it in, but your brain doesn’t notice.
Camouflage • Sometimes camo is very simple. • It doesn’t take a lot to make something much less obvious!
Camouflage • Available materials often make the best camo materials. • Color and texture are what we use to make things blend.
Camouflage • For a really challenging hide, you can get more elaborate. • Imagination and manual skills are the only limits!
