  17. The questionnaire was distributed to physical therapist in different hospitals to answer the questions within 10 minutes and then it was collected from them without any direction from the researchers about the meaning of questions.

  18. RESULTS

  19. "Which of these following examinations you believe that it's used abroad and not here?"

  20. “From your point of view do you think that manipulation of cervical region can lead to stroke?”

  21. “If your answer is yes, what do you think the cause is?”

  22. "Do you know any information about vertebrobasilar insufficiency test?"

  23. DISCUSSION

  24. The results of this study revealed that the majority (70%) of P.T. reported that VBI test is used abroad . This is drawn from the answers of a question where P.T. chose the answer of “VBI assessment” when asked about the examinations used abroad.

  25. The highest percentage of answers of the 9th question, which was about the cause of stroke after manipulation, was for the answer of “I do not know”. Which indicates that P.T. have no idea about the dangers that may accompany their treatment techniques in those patients.

  26. About 60% of P.T. answered frankly that they have not any information about VBI test.

  27. Conclusion

  28. Some P.T. in Jeddah hospitals need to pay attention to the importance of VBI test and the dangers that may result when dealing with patients with cervical spondylosis.

  29. Recommendations

  30. Hospital regulations of P.T. • examinations of cervical spondylosis • need to be revised . • Work shops can be carried out by • experts about importance and • procedures of VBI test for saudi P.T.

  31. Similar study is recommended for • larger sample of P.T. and in different • cities in Saudi Arabia other than Jeddah.
