DID YOU KNOW? • An estimated 1 out of every 4 Canadians is expected to die from cancer. • Cancer is the leading cause of non-accidental death in children. • -more children die of cancer each year than asthma, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, congenital anomalies, and pediatric AIDS combined • 1 in 330 individuals will be diagnosed with a malignant disease before there 20th birthday

Make the kindest cut of all • What is hair to a women? • -an incredible instrument of self expression • -defines her self image in a way most physical attributes can not • What does the loss of hair mean to a women battling cancer? • -hair loss can strike an especially crippling blow • -a study revealed 58 %of women considered hair loss to be the worst side effect of chemotherapy May 18th

Beautiful hair for a beautiful cause • Only a minimum of 8 inches is required! • Just think hair grows back • Volunteer to Cut, Shave or Wax • Hair may be colored with Semi-Permanent dyes • If your hair is permanently colored don’t fret! • You can still cut your hair and raise donations! • Hair is donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths

  7. INSIDe ride • Who they are: • Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation • What they do: • Charitable cycling events • 100% of donations are distributed to several charities • Why they do it: • Leading cause of non accidental death of children in Canada May 28th
