They alsoprovided support for new businesses.Ward Boss- At election time the Ward Boss worked to securethe vote in all precincts/electoral districts (neighborhoods).Ward Bosses gained their votes by doing favors for the poor & immigrants including -Jobs & Housing + Naturalization- attaining FULL CITIZENSHIPLocal Precint Workers & Captains –These people tried to gain voters’ supporton a city block or neighborhood and who reported to a WARD BOSS
