  2. Some Things… • You can’t do alone. • Some things are just easier with a group. • Landscaping last fall. Cleaning, but not necessarily painting. • What does it mean to have a “kingdom mindset?” • Sometimes God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. • But Moses didn’t do it all. • Reuel – Jethro – Ex. 18:13 • Even Gideon needed the 300 – Judges 7

  3. But Excuses “Rule” • Because we don’t consider anyone but self. • Have you thought about prayer? • “Open my eyes to the needs of others.” • “Increase my faith and decrease my fear.” • “Help me want to be used.”

  4. Kinds of People God Uses • Focused people – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven, given to men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) • Humble people – “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” (4:13) • Courageous people – Acts 4:16-20

  5. Kinds of People God Uses • Praying people – Acts 4:23-24, 31 • Generous people – “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had” ( 4:32). • People who are willing to work together. Each with his or her own talents.
