Background • At Okinawa meeting, the future collaboration of CJK B3G was discussed and the way forward was considered as extending collaboration area to other standardization areas. • The consensus was made that it is needed to strengthen CJK B3G collaboration in in global and regional standard bodies by taking leaderships/leading the topics. • APT activities are getting interested by other regions as well as APT countries. • AWF is one of the most successful program in APT as related with CJK B3G scope. • CJK should pay attention to AWF activities and should take leadership in order to promote mobile communication within AP Region.

  3. Cooperation toward AWF • Proposed AWF items for CJK collaboration • Stimulating IMT WG discussion • Not only information sharing of ITU WP5D but also developing AWF outputs to promote IMT within APT e.g. ) consulting IMT deployment of APT countries in tech. aspects e.g. ) surveying IMT spectrum and usage database • Developing APT harmonization framework on spectrum • To develop the APT Recommendation • Under the high level framework, each spectrum band might be discussed to get harmonized frequency band plan • Collaboration on convergence issues (WG Convergence) • Including Convergence subjects in CJK B3G scope (?)

  4. Proposed actions in this meeting • The development of CJK B3G workplan document per item • To develop long-term objectives and plans • To specify CJK B3G objective in written format
