The 2001 Board of Governor's Meeting took place on February 10 in San Diego, focusing on establishing the CPMT as the leading global society in components, microsystems, packaging, and manufacturing. New members Ralph Russell, Bill Brown, and Johan Liu were welcomed, along with the reelected members including Craig Gaw and CP Wong. The meeting highlighted the induction of new IEEE Fellows and discussed areas for improvement and strategic progress for the CPMT. Upcoming BOG meetings are scheduled for May 28 in Orlando and November 10 in Germany.
