Green RevolutionAN INDIAN EXPERIENCE • In India, the term “Green Revolution” is applied to the period 1967 to 1978 • Although the term is general one that is applied to successful agricultural experiments in many third world countries, it was most successful in India • Four Basic Elements of Green revolution: - Continued expansion of Farming Areas - Double Cropping in existing Farmland - Using Seeds with improved genetics - Farm Mechanization by use of Tractors and Implements

SUCCESSFUL DISPATCH OF 1000 TRACTORS PLUS 4225 IMPLEMENTS TO CAMREOON WORTH 190 CRORE INR UNDER GOI LOC • ITL has executed one of largest order of Agriculture Tractors & Implements under Government on India Line of Credit to Government of Cameroon for Maize & Rice plantation & harvesting. Sonalika was chosen by Cameroon Government for this prestigious order after careful selection procedure as Sonalika tractors were found most suitable for Cameroon agriculture conditions. • Apart from this, ITL will also helped the Government of Cameroon to set up an assembly line of tractors & a fabrication unit of implements, where ITL has supplied the tools, equipments & machinery and the technical know how. • ITL team has also trained the local farmers on use of tractors & implements, local technicians on maintenance of all machinery supplied under this project. • This project is expected to help bring a Green Revolution in Cameroon .
