The people of Egypt face oppression under a government that denies them the right to choose their president. This paper outlines the need for constitutional changes to establish a three-year presidential term and promote equality among citizens. Additionally, shifting to a parliamentary system, like that of England, could foster better governance by ensuring all proposals undergo parliamentary scrutiny. These reforms could prevent dictatorship, reduce corruption, and allow for better representation of the Egyptian populace, ultimately creating a more democratic society.

EGYPT Mubarak oppressing the people BY: Maria FernandaAhumada Maria Claudia Bojanini Laura Santos
CAUSE 1 People are unhappy because the government is oppressing them.
CAUSE 2 People wanted to choose their own president so they wanted elections.
SOLUTION 1 Change the constitution so it states that the presidential would be 3 years running and make everyone equal.
POSSIBLE RESULTS 1. It would prevent dictatorship, so no one could rule for too long. 2. Everyone would be treated equally so there are not going to be protestants or rebellious people in the government.
SOLUTION 2 Change the government into a parliamentary form.
SOLUTION 2 WORKS FOR MANY COUNTRIES! • Englandisone of therichestcountries in theworld . Itisgovernedbythefamous English parlament. • WhichisdividedintotheHouseof Commonsand theHouseof Lords, echonecomplementseachother.

POSSIBLE RESULTS 1. The president could be controlled by the parliament and this will prevent him of gaining too much power. 2. Everything the president proposes, has to be confirmed by the parliament. That way it would prevent corruption and there would be more representatives of the Egyptian people in the government.
