  2. Intelligent At age 24 she was going to the University of Paris then she went to Sorbonne, a college in Paris.

  4. Sneaky She convinced her cousin to smuggle her into the Museum of Industry and Agriculture, which was actually an underground training laboratory for Polish scientists.

  6. Brainy Her skills spread among the academic community. She was awarded a scholarship set aside for Polish students.

  7. Born and early years BORN • Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. EARLY YEARS • Zosia and Broniswala (sisters) died when Marie was ten years old.

  8. school • Marie was able to study at the floating school, a school she always wanted to go to. • A while after going to the floating school, Marie went to Sorbonne, a school in Paris.

  9. Special interests • She wanted to got to France to enroll at the University of Paris. • She was interested in uranium rays as a subject for her dissertation.

  10. FAMILY LIFE AND JOB FAMILY LIFE 1897 – Curie gave birth to a daughter named Irene JOB She was a Polish chemist.
