  12. Your PTA has a total of 10 members for the year. The membership goal is to increase your PTA to 11 members. Can you do it?

  13. Step 1: ACQUIRE MEMBERS AND GET THEM ON BOARD

  14. Acquire your members and get them on board from the beginning. • Recognize new members on a website or newsletter • Reach out to new members through a welcome letter or email • Pair up members with other PTA members for engagement

  15. Step 2: ENGAGE

  16. Communicate regularly with your newly acquired members by doing the following: • Send a monthly newsletter • Make phone calls • Use social media (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) • Generate word of mouth interest with relevant community events • Use local media outlets • Have a current roster of your PTA members with their current contact information
