  4. The rosebud, kissed by the sunlight, opens up, giving off perfumes. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  5. The marsh in decay in its own misery, under the caresses of light, gets renovated, freeing itself, little by little, of its deplorable condition. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  6. The human heart, visited by the sublime light of Heaven, broadens its frontiers of love and shelters with love a multitude of distressed beings. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  7. Through praying, Christ talked to the Father. During the interval of the prayer, he listened to God. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  8. While praying Jesus was taken to the cross. In silent prayer he said goodbye to humankind in order to return later. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  9. We shall pray, tirelessly, and we will not be surprised by the coldness of the anesthetizing struggles. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  10. We shall pray, and the burning of the passions will not be able to annihilate us. By praying, we offer opportunities to our brothers and sisters who are in darkness to reach the light. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas

  11. Through praying, we will give them the bread of hope and the refreshing dew of peace, carrying out simple and pure duty, in the task of brotherly help. Divaldo Franco / João Cléofas
