  2. What is a podcast? • A podcast is a media file that is shared over the Internet that can be played on mobile devices i.e. iPods or MP3 Players and on personal computers

  4. Recording your voice Step 1: Launch the Inspector Step 2: Select the Audio button Step 3: Select the Record button • you may re-record by clicking on the Record button or the clear button on the Audio InspectorFile on Menu bar to record or clear recording

  5. PRE-RECORD SOUNDS OR SOUNDTRACK • The song / soundtrack must be placed in the “itunes Library” Step 1: Launch the Inspector Step 2: Select the AUDIO button Step 3: Click on the “itunes Library” button Step 4: Drag and drop the selected tune to the “Soundtrack” window Text

  6. Three types of Podcast • Audio - Voice recording only • Enhanced Podcast - Audio and images (documents and PowerPoint slides) • Video - Movies and Animation

  7. Save and Share • Step 1: Save the document • Step 2: Create the podcast

  8. What is next? Review - • Part 1: Create the document i. e. slides, images, video, etc • Part 2: Save your work • Part 3: Share and / or Export

  9. Medias used to play your podcast • Quick Time Player • itunes • Windows Media Player (not available at school)

  10. Sharing document will allow the created document to open in one of the following programs which will allow you to continue to format • Select the “Send to” option - GaragebandiDVDiPhotoitunesYou Tube (cannot use at school)

  11. Export is under the “Share” menu bar option • Export to - Quick TimePowerPointPDFImagesHTMLiPod (play in itunes)
