  1. WELCOME! PRIDE Night Parade Friday, September 16, 2011 Parade Start Time - 8:00pm

Required Forms • Contingent Application • Your basic application- every entry must fill out this application • Hold Harmless • If you have a motorized vehicle in your entry you must fill our this form • (1 form for each driver and vehicle) • Wheel Walkers / Contingent Liaisons • Wheel Walkers - guides for float drivers on the parade route • Contingent Liaisons - leads for each walking group • 1 liaison for every 25 people in the group • Contingent Description • Basic information about your group • Contingent Description- what is your group doing? • Grandstand Statement • What the announcer will sayabout your group

Optional Forms • Contingent Handouts • To be filled out if you are passing anything to the viewers in the parade • Credit Card Authorization • If you wish to pay by Credit Card • Entry Cost • Sponsors/Invited Guests – Free • Non-Profit Contingents - $20.00 • Political Organization Contingents - $30.00 • For-Profit Business/Organization - $25.00 • Motorcycle or Car Club/Group - $25.00

  4. Staging Area • Roads will close on Coolidge, Hoover and Gass at 3:00pm • Entries with floats are encouraged to load in at 3:30 • There is no parking in this area • 3rd Street - used for staging • Casino Center Blvd - needs to remain open for fire lane • Any vehicles parked on 3rd and Casino Center will be towed by Metro

  5. Staging Area Check In • Check in point is behind AM/PM on Charleston and 4th Street • Check in will open at 3:30pm for entry with floats • Check in will close at 6:30- anyone after 6:30 will be bumped to the back of the parade.

  6. Staging Area Check In Check In Area • Restrooms - there will be 2 restrooms next to check in behind AM/PM • A representative is required to check your group in prior to 6:30 - any missing paper work or payment will be collected at this time. • Entry Number and Parade placement will be issued at this time! NOTE - Las Vegas PRIDE reserves the right of parade placement of all entries in the Las Vegas PRIDE Night Parade.

  7. Parking There is no parking allowed at the staging area - anyone who parks in private parking areas will be towed or booted - this is your warning! We suggest you come early and park at a property at the Fremont St. Experience and walk to Charleston Blvd.

  10. Cox Broadcast Schedule • Watch the parade LIVE on September 16th from 8pm - 10pm on Cox Channel 96 or online at www.cox96.net. • See the fun AGAIN during one of 6 rebroadcasts on Cox Channel 96 at 8pm on September 25, 29 or 30 and October 1, 2, or 3.

Parade Judging Judging occurs at Parade Grandstand in the following categories: • Originality - 1 to 10 • Concept of overall unit (homemade vs. store bought) • Presentation - 1 to 10 • Overall visual appeal • Showmanship - 1 to 10 • Group unity, smiling, working the crowd, having fun • Use of Lights - 1 to 10 • Effective use of lights • Rainbow Award (PRIDE) - 1 to 10 • Best use of rainbow colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple • Drag it Out - 1 to 10 • Drag Queens & Kings • Overall Impression - 1 to 10 • The "WOW" Factor

  17. Parade Awards • Parade awards will be announced at 3:30pm on the main stage at the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival. • Awards ceremony will be hosted by Chris Saldana

  18. Don’t Forget • Check In between 3:30 and 6:30 • Number placement - important to Judges & Hosts • ABSOLUTELY No Throwing! You will be removed from the Parade • Please follow all instructions from Parade Monitors and Metro Officers! • Have Fun! Show your PRIDE!
