  1. WIU Second Trip To Germany 2007 Flying from a culture to another!!

  2. The Goals Of The Trip • Learning German Language. • Visiting The Partner Universities of WIU. • Getting to know The German Culture. • Tourism.

  3. In Magdeburg • Students stayed in Magdeburg for three days.

  4. Visiting the partner university • Professor Rautenstrauch took the students on a tour in the university and showed them all the highlights there.

  5. City tour • He also took them on a city tour where they visited the Dome and Jahrtausendturm.

  6. Braunschweig city • It is the city where the students stayed for three weeks. • Quiet city. • There are lots of shops. • It has a nice students dorm.

  7. Braunschweig university • Students attended 65 hours of German language courses in the university of Braunschweig. • The courses were funded by DAAD. • Most of students are still learning German language here at WIU.

  8. University Activities • Class activities. • Visiting other cities. • Parties

  9. Kartoffelsalat!! • Students had a funny, lovely and delicious lunch which was made by themselves in the class.

  10. Trips • Besides the language courses, the university took the students in many trips aiming at letting them know a lot about Germany. • They visited many important places like:

  11. Volkswagen factory Students made an amazing tour in the largest car factory in Europe -The VW factory in Wolfsburg.

  12. To Hannover The Chocolate volcano. Students went to Hannover and visited the Schokoland; a big chocolate factory there.

  13. To Hamburg • Students went to Hamburg and spent two days there, they visited many beautiful places there like:

  14. The Harbor Students made a boat tour inside the biggest harbor in Europe and the third biggest in the world!!

  15. Bicycles race • Students had the chance to watch live the Vattenfall Cyclassicsrace, which took place through Hamburg streets!!

  16. To Berlin • Students went on a tour all over Berlin to see the most important places there.

  17. Schloss Charlottenburg

  18. Gedächtnis Kirche

  19. The Reichstag

  20. To Dessau The Bauhaus Architecture
