Creating Google Sitemaps and RSS Feeds from CMS: The Access Database Solution

When Ziegler’s Content Management System failed to directly generate Google Sitemaps or RSS feeds, we tackled the challenge by developing an MS Access Database utility. This tool extracts essential page and file information from MS SQL, including dates, descriptions, titles, sizes, and change frequencies. The utility then generates compliant XML files for both Google Sitemaps and RSS feeds, enabling effective indexing and content distribution. This solution not only enhances our online presence but also adopts two critical Internet marketing strategies seamlessly.
