Hospitals are restructuring, and new hospitals are opening • Legacy Health System entered the Washington market, opening a new hospital in Vancouver in August 2005. • Providence Health Services, in the Spokane area, and Providence Health System, in western Washington, agreed to merge in 2006. • Franciscan Health System is moving forward with plans to open a 4th facility in western Washington, St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, in 2008.
