  1. JEE Advanced Examination 2017

  2. Introduction JEE Advanced is a national level examination, conducted for students who wish to take admission to Science and Architecture courses at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE Advanced exam is conducted every year, and lakhs of students appear for the exam, wishing to be a part of the elite IITs and other national institutes in the country.

  3. Registration 1. The registrations for JEE Advanced exam 2017 close on the 2nd of May, 2017. Students who successfully clear the JEE Mains will be eligible to apply for the exam. 2. The admit card downloading procedure starts from the 10th of May and ends on the 21st of May, 2017.

  4. Examination Mode The JEE Advanced exam is conducted for two fields, science and architecture, and therefore, is divided into two papers: 1) B. Tech/ BE 2) B. Arch/ B. Planning Both papers for JEE Advanced are conducted in the offline mode. Students have to appear in both Paper 1 and 2 for admission into engineering courses, while for the B. Arch program, students have to clear both the exams and then apply for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT).

  5. Syllabus 1. The JEE Advanced exam has objective type questions in both the papers, from subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 2. The syllabus for JEE Mains comprise of topics from CBSE Class 11th and 12th, whereas JEE Advanced coves a few extra topics from outside the CBSE syllabus.

  6. Admission The JEE Main exam is conducted by various government-funded institutions such as IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs, while the JEE Advanced exam is mainly conducted by only the IITs. Thus, a merit list of admission to an IIT is released by the IITs, only on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.

  7. Conclusion JEE Advanced Exam Paper-1 and Paper-2 are to be held on the 21st of May 2017 from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm, respectively. HT Campus wishes all candidates appearing for the exam, All the very best!
