4. THR Physician Relationship Philosophy Texas Health Resources is on a journey to become the vanguard for delivery of excellent healthcare value in North Texas and a model for the nation. This will require innovation and new care models to emerge. Texas Health Resources is actively transforming itself in support of clinical care redesign �Physician-led, professionally-managed� care are our watchwords for the transformation. �We recognize that there is a significant difference between physician leadership and physicians as advisors and we choose to empower physician leadership.� We are creating legitimate and powerful physician-led service structures both at the Texas Health system (Heart and Vascular as a beginning with more to come) This includes both employed and independent physicians. There are a set of physicians that want to remain independent from a hospital system and stay in solo or group practice or work within an organized physician group. Willingness, desire, capability Texas Health Resources will afford physicians the opportunity to lead, to manage and to be involved in the ways they see valuable as they pursue this journey
